Hi, we’re Stace and Dan @the_couple_that_hike a married couple that spend our spare time going on adventures!
We both have passion for the outdoors, and taking on big challenges – pushing ourselves to our limits. We’ve always loved hiking, but we got really serious about it when we both decided to take on the challenge of hiking along the Great Wall of China a few years ago, fundraising for Motor Neurone Disease Victoria.
Dan’s dad suffered from MND for just over 12 years, unfortunately he passed away at the start of this year. He was our driving force, and our reason for taking on more hiking challenges. Which includes completing the Kokoda Trail in Papua New Guinea two months before our wedding last year.
Not only do we get a great sense of achievement from completing these amazing hikes, we’re fitter and healthier than we’ve ever been, and have raised over $15,000 for those living with MND.
We’ve now starting taking group training hikes for other people who have taken on similar challenges, the main one being the Larapinta Trail in outback Australia!
Whether it’s an hour hike, or a 10 day trek through the jungle, we’re always up for another adventure!
Thanks for sharing guys and good luck with all your fundraising. Make sure you follow their adventures.
